Colleague’s past

Lending credence to the phrase, ‘developed by recruiters, for recruiters’, Colleague recruitment software was first created by recruitment consultancy, Arena Resources Limited in 1994 and launched to the market in 1995.

When Arena Resources Ltd was acquired by Lorien PLC in 1996 Lorien’s management were so impressed with the recruitment software system that they persuaded Arena Resources’ Managing Director, Will Minns, to stay with Lorien and help them implement it across the group.

In 2002 Will Minns acquired the recruitment software technology and set up Colleague Software Limited to provide integrated recruitment solutions to the industry. Since then Colleague has grown from strength to strength with recruitment software that has constantly evolved to meet the needs of the modern recruiter.

 

Colleague’s present

Operating with an attitude of integrity, respect and honesty, Colleague Software has built strong two way relationships its clients – an approach that has resulted in a scalable client-driven product that is uniquely right for recruiters.

Offering flexible recruitment solutions, professional consultancy, training and quality user and technical support - Colleague recruitment software is used in over 28 countries by customers in varying niche sectors to automate everyday tasks.

Our diverse range of specialist clients vary from small independent to large multi-national businesses, including names such as SquareOne Resources, ARM, InterQuest Group PLC, Networkers International PLC and Academics, some who have been with us from inception.

At Colleague we work closely with our partners to ensure our recruitment software contains the best recruitment solutions to your business needs. Our partners include organisations like Microsoft − ensuring that Colleague’s integration with products such as Outlook, Excel and Word, is as robust and as seamless as possible − and Sage, providing flexible integrated back office integration.

We currently employ 17 full time members of staff spread across technical and user support, development, marketing, account management and training. As well as having experience, expertise and an in-depth understanding of recruiter's needs, the Colleague team have high standards of service, build strong relationships with users, and will go the extra mile for your recruitment consultancy.
